Having served as Wiper and True's first Head Brewer, I know what it feels like to grow a small business. Always keen to work together with people as a team, instead of talking in terms of 'you' and 'yours', I prefer 'we' and 'our'.
I have established myself in the industry by developing close relationships with business owners, suppliers, brewers, scientists, engineers, customers and drinkers. It has been so useful to spend time in many breweries, both in the UK and abroad. As a result, I have worked alongside and learnt from a lot of very knowledgable and experienced people in the industry.

I have been able to develop and refine my skills and approach in the following areas:

Increasing brewing capacity and growth planning;

Health and safety due diligence, such as first aid, COSHH and fire safety;

Food safety due diligence, including HACCP;

Improving and ensuring beer quality, including sensory analysis and lab work;

New product development;

Auditing, developing and implementing systems, such as QC, brew sheets, stock control, and SOPs;

Contract and cuckoo brewing, making collaborative beers;

Supply chain and procurement;

Layout design, installation and maintenance of equipment;

Managing production teams through structured workflow and personal development;

Scheduling and planning.

I believe that everything is connected, and whether I'm looking at the bigger picture or the finer detail, my approach has always been guided by a respect and understanding of spatial awareness.
